Navigating Insurance and Cash-Based Practices for Integrative Practitioners  - Alan Dumoff, J.D., M.S.W., Washington, DC
Alan Dumoff has practiced law since 1988 just outside Washington, D.C. with a special focus on the legal needs of integrative practitioners. Mr. Dumoff assists physicians and CAM practitioners with a wide range of regulatory, insurance, and disciplinary issues, including billing and reimbursement matters, practice structure, dietary supplement and medical device and laboratory regulation. He has the unusual distinction of having a matter heard before the U.S. Supreme Court, extensive appellate and administrative experience including litigation of vaccine injury cases. Mr. Dumoff also holds a Master of Social Work degree and had extensive clinical experience prior to turning to the law to work on integrative medicine’s legal conundrums.
